The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival—known simply as Jazz Fest—is a world-renowned celebration of music, culture, and community held each spring at the Fair Grounds Race Course. What began in 1970 as a tribute to the city’s rich musical roots has grown into a multi-day festival featuring an extraordinary mix of jazz, blues, R&B, gospel, rock, and international acts, alongside some of the biggest names in contemporary music.
Beyond the stages, Jazz Fest is a vibrant showcase of Louisiana’s cultural heritage, with local food vendors serving classic dishes like crawfish étouffée and po’boys, and artisans displaying traditional crafts. More than just a music festival, it’s an immersive experience that honors the spirit, history, and creativity of New Orleans.
